This board was created when Borst was out of commission with a broken arm and wanted to keep surfing. The intent for this board was to have an easy paddler along with stability in the front end of the model so that he would be able to get in to the waves while having cast on his arm. This board allowed him to get in to the wave with all the ease necessary to have great time surfing. That was all happening about 10 years ago and The TANK#1 is still one of his favorite go to boards. The TANK#1 features a wider fuller nose, lower entry rocker and moderate tail rocker. The TANK#1 comes in two thicknesses. The first is thinner version which allows a bit more sensitivity and then there is a thicker version for higher stability and ease of use.
